Creative Land Trust: culture-led regeneration and creative workspace social impact, London

Creative Land Trust secures permanent, affordable studio space for artists in London. Work Shop has been working with CLT across two phases to build the evidence base for their social impact.

The opportunity

CLT needed a robust, honest way to capture the breadth of its social impact, from sustaining individual creative practices to shaping local community engagement and policy, and to turn that evidence into a story it could tell funders and wider audiences with confidence.

What we did

In Phase 1, we supported CLT to develop a theory of change and outcomes framework, establishing seven outcomes that capture the breadth of their impact. In Phase 2, we are synthesising CLT's existing data against that framework to produce a public-facing impact infographic, assessing what the evidence currently supports, identifying where it needs caveating, and working with CLT to agree the clearest and most honest way to tell their impact story.

Why it mattered

CLT now has a clear, evidence-led framework for articulating its impact, one that is honest about what it can and can't claim, and ready to be shared confidently with funders and wider audiences.
